Jumpstead

Software for indoor play places

One screen for the whole front desk.

Admissions priced by age, visit timers that run themselves, waivers, memberships and a care profile for every child, on the iPad at your counter. No fees on parents. Your families stay yours.

For soft play, play cafés, trampoline parks, kids’ gyms and all-abilities play spaces.

The problem

Saturday at 10am shouldn’t feel like a fire drill.

Most play places run on a stitched-together stack: tools built for gyms, tours or classes, bent to fit a soft play floor. It holds up until the doors open on a busy morning.

  • The waiver queue

Families signed online, but the counter can’t find it, so they sign again while the line grows.

  • Timers on a whiteboard

Kitchen timers, wristband colours and guesswork. Overstays slip by and nobody charges for them.

  • Allergies on a sticky note

The one staff member who knows about the peanut allergy is on break.

  • Four tools and a fee

A booking site, a waiver app, a till for coffee, and a booking fee your parents notice.

The walk-in flow

From the door to the ball pit in under two minutes.

That’s the bar we design the counter around for a brand-new family of three. Every step that could stop the line opens the thing that fixes it, then carries on.

  1. 1

    Find or add the family

Search by phone or a child’s name. New family? Add the grown-up and the kids with birthdays, right there.

  2. 2

    Tap what they want

Admissions price themselves by each child’s age. Socks, coffee and snacks go in the same cart.

  3. 3

Waivers and care, in the flow

A missing waiver opens signing on the iPad instead of an error. Any care alert shows before the child is on the floor.

  4. 4

    Pay, and the timers start

Card on the reader, cash, or split. Payment confirms, and every child’s visit timer starts on its own.

Members skip straight to check-in. See the counter in detail.

Care profiles

Every child gets a care profile.

From the moment a child is added, Jumpstead keeps what your team needs to look after them well. Staff see a care alert on the counter and the live floor, so the right people know before the child is playing.

  • Allergies, with severity
  • Medical conditions and medications
  • An emergency plan
  • Diet
  • Sensory needs, and what helps them calm down
  • How they communicate, including AAC and sign
  • Mobility aids
  • Wandering risk
  • Toileting support
  • What they love doing

Encrypted at rest

Care details are encrypted in the database.

Families choose

Parents share only what they want to.

Every view logged

Each time staff open a profile, it’s recorded.

Designed with inclusive and all-abilities play places in mind, and just as useful for a busy soft play.

Visit timers

Timers that run themselves.

Every admission starts a visit timer. The live floor sorts every child by time left, so the counter always knows who’s next.

  • A heads-up five minutes before time’s up, another at time, and a flag when a visit runs over.
  • Extend in two taps: it sells the extension on the same screen.
  • All-day passes run until close, from your opening hours.
  • Check out from the floor view, and occupancy stays accurate.

Check-in and waivers

Waivers belong to the child, not the booking.

Sign once and it’s on the child’s record, so every visit and membership finds it. When a waiver is missing or out of date, the counter offers signing on the spot instead of a dead end.

Check-in

Scan a keychain or look a family up by phone, email or a child’s name. Jumpstead checks membership, visits left and each child’s waiver, and checks in only the children who are good to go, with the reason shown for anyone who isn’t.

  • QR keychains, NFC fobs, the iPad camera or any scanner.
  • A self check-in kiosk on a second iPad for members.
  • A capacity cap that holds the door at your limit.

Waivers

Write your own waiver or start from ours. Parents sign on the counter iPad, from a text link on their own phone, or on your website before they book. Publish a new version and Jumpstead tracks who needs to re-sign.

  • Unlimited waivers. No per-signature fees, ever.
  • Expiry reminders 14 days ahead, with the re-sign link.
  • Party guests sign from the party’s own link or QR code.

Memberships

Memberships that renew, and say so when they don’t.

Design a plan and see the card your families will see. Billing runs through Stripe, and a failed payment shows up at the counter instead of hiding for months.

  • Monthly or annual plans with included children, visit limits, guest passes and perks.
  • Sign up at the counter, from a text link, or online from your website.
  • A failed card starts a follow-up by email and text with a pay link, and a past-due banner shows at check-in.
  • Freeze, cancel and reactivate from the household card, with the history kept.
  • Member discounts apply at the counter automatically.

Parties, classes and booking

Parties and classes, on the same families.

Same households, same waivers, same care profiles. A party guest who comes back for open play is already on file, and a child in Tuesday’s class has the care profile the counter sees on Saturday.

  • Parties

Rooms and whole-venue bookings with a deposit up front, add-ons on the order, a party page where guests sign their waivers, and balance reminders sent for you.

  • Classes and drop-off

Weekly series, enrollments and a waitlist that fills itself. Roll call on the iPad, a care briefing at drop-off, and pickup only by approved adults.

  • One calendar

Every room, zone and the whole venue, with cleanup buffers. A clash shows who’s in the way and offers the next free slot.

  • Booking on your website

Your own site takes party bookings, class enrollments and membership sign-ups through the booking API. No marketplace in between.

Parties, classes and online booking in detail

Our promise

Your families are yours.

Some platforms charge your parents a fee at checkout or market other venues to them. Jumpstead is software you pay for, and that’s the whole business model.

How pricing works
  • No fees on parents. Ever.

Jumpstead never adds a booking fee or service charge to your families’ bill. What you charge is what they pay.

  • No marketplace

We don’t list your venue next to competitors or email your families about other businesses.

  • Your data, portable

Every report exports to CSV whenever you like, and you can ask for a full export of your data at any time.

  • Every feature, every venue

Parties, classes, memberships, loyalty and the booking API are all included. No per-device or per-waiver charges.

FAQ

Questions owners ask.

Anything else? We’re happy to talk it through on a demo.

What hardware do I need?
An iPad (or any tablet or computer with a modern browser) and a Stripe smart card reader, the WisePOS E or S700. A barcode scanner, a USB NFC reader for fobs, a label printer for keychains and a receipt printer are optional. You buy hardware directly and own it.
Do parents have to download an app?
No. Parents sign waivers on the counter iPad or from a text link, book on your website, and get reminders by text and email. Nothing needs an app.
How do payments work?
Card payments run through Stripe on the counter reader. Cash and split payments are built in on every plan. Jumpstead adds no fees to your families.
Can families book on our own website?
Yes. Your website takes party bookings with a deposit, class enrollments and membership sign-ups through Jumpstead’s booking API, with live availability and payment by Stripe Checkout. There’s no marketplace in between. How online booking works.
How is children’s information protected?
Care profiles are encrypted at rest, families choose what to share, and every time staff open a profile it is logged. Each venue’s data is isolated from every other venue at the database level.
We use Sawyer, ROLLER or Square today. Can we switch?
Yes. We’ll help you set up products, waivers and your family list during onboarding. Our switching page compares the details honestly.
